Our After-School Meals

Two high school students who were once childhood friends have grown distant over the years: the quiet and introverted Hikaru Fukada, and the popular Eita Tsukioka.

In truth, Eita has feelings for Hikaru, but to hide them, he has deliberately acted cold toward him. Hikaru misunderstands Eita’s behavior and becomes convinced that Eita hates him, leaving the two stuck in an awkward relationship.

Everything changes when Eita’s mother is hospitalized, leading Hikaru and Eita to start cooking dinner together. Through the time they spend preparing meals just for the two of them, they slowly reconnect and grow closer, as if returning to the bond they shared as children.
