After debuting in Kannada films in the late 2000s, she made her Telugu cinema debut with the romantic drama *Thakita Thakita* (2010) and entered Tamil cinema with *Kanagavel Kaaka* (2010) and *Muran* (2011). In 2014, Hariprriya starred as Nitya in the action thriller *Ugramm*, earning a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Actress – Kannada.
