Having started his career in theater during his Integrated Masters in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, he starred in films such as António One Two Three (IFFR 2017), Sol Alegria (IFFR 2018), Bela Mandil (Viennale 2018) and Half a Light-Year (IDFA 2021), having produced the latter. Mauro Soares is an awarded Portuguese actor. Having started his career in theater during his Integrated Masters in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, he starred in films such as António One Two Three (IFFR 2017), Sol Alegria (IFFR 2018), Bela Mandil (Viennale 2018) and Half a Light-Year (IDFA 2021), having produced the latter. Mauro co-wrote and starred in Rain Hums a Lullaby to Pain (IFFR 2020), Life Lasts Two Days (FIDMarseille 2022) which he also produced, is a Berlinale Talents Acting Studio alumnus of 2019, part of the cast of The Portuguese Woman (Berlinale 2019) and 1st Assistant Director in The Kegelstatt Trio (Berlinale 2022).
