He began his career as an actor in 1948 with touring troupes. He then studied at the Drama School of the Thessaloniki Conservatory. In the theater, he collaborated with the largest Athenian troupes, as well as with the National Theater and the Art Theater, playing in all genres of theater. He distinguished himself in performances of ancient drama and Attic comedy.
